JFREJ New Campaign Selection Meeting for Jews of color and/or Mizrachi, Sephardi or non-Ashkenazi Jews
This meeting is an opportunity for members, friends of JFREJ and movement comrades who are Jews of color and/or Mizrachi, Sephardi, or non-Ashkenazi Jews to come together and give input on JFREJ's next campaign. Racial justice starts from within!
We know that racial and ethnic identities are complex and multi-faceted. If you’re wondering whether this is the right space for you, a few things to consider: do you identify with one of the categories above and/or is your Jewish identity, culture and leadership undervalued in most Jewish organizational spaces?
Whether or not you have been actively involved in JFREJ for years, come to the Purim party once, or are active in other movements we want your voice, your perspective, and your opinions in shaping Jewish organizing in NYC.
This meeting is specifically to talk about what racial and economic justice work means to us as Jews of color and/or Mizrachi, Sephardi, and non-Ashkenazi Jews within JFREJ. We hope to stay on-topic to be able to present some great campaign ideas that are informed by our experiences of racism and racial injustice.
Facilitated by Audrey Sasson, JFREJ Board Member.
