I am urging you to use your leadership to negotiate the cancellation of Haiti's remaining debts to international institutions and ensure that all new aid comes in the form of grants, not loans. Haiti needs all of its resources for recovery and reconstruction, not debt repayments.
I urge you to announce your full support for Haiti's debt cancellation and work with your counterparts so Haiti can begin its recovery without the burden of debt.
