We need your help to get PVC, the poison plastic, out of our children’s school supplies!
Many children’s school supplies, such as lunchboxes, backpacks and binders, are often made out of PVC—a toxic plastic that is dangerous to our health and the environment. PVC is unique among plastics because it contains dangerous chemical additives. These harmful chemicals include phthalates, lead, cadmium, and/or organotins, which can be toxic to your child’s health. What’s worse is the danger these chemicals pose- phthalates and other toxic additives can leach out or evaporate into the air over time posing unnecessary dangers to children. Over 90% of all phthalates are used to soften or plasticize PVC products – that’s over 5 million tons a year! Children are at risk from even small exposures to these toxic chemicals.
Sign the petition below, and then forward it to your friends and family.
After we gather enough signatures, we'll deliver the petition to major retailers and manufacturers of PVC school supplies.

I have grandchildren in school now and I do not want them in contact with this poisonous substance only to later in life find out they have cancer. It is my responsibility to speak out for children that are in need of my protection from this deadly harmful substance.

The one place (besides the home) that children should be able to trust as a safe environment is school and the supplies they have to use. Let's stop the greed at the cost of our children.

PVC is unnecessary and by far causes more harm than good. In todays society, this product should not exist.
