Will Montana Continue to Conserve Wolves?

Send your comment to Montana Fish, Wildlife And Parks today!

Dear Supporter,

Montana should be cautious as it develops a wolf hunt. Tell MT Fish, Wildlife and Parks that you want a healthy wolf population in the state!

Gray wolves have made a remarkable comeback since their reintroduction to Yellowstone, restoring balance to wild country in the Northern Rockies. Until now, Montana has adopted a balanced approach to managing wolves, but that could change when wolves are removed from the Endangered Species list.

Help make sure Montana continues to prioritize wolf conservation by letting wildlife managers know your views of a proposed wolf hunting season!

Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks (FWP) is planning for a wolf hunting season once gray wolves are removed from federal protection. The good news is that wolves in Montana are well on their way to recovery, expanding their numbers and range in the western part of the state. But wolf advocates need to speak up now to ensure Montana's hunt is structured in a way that promotes wolf conservation. Fish, Wildlife and Parks is taking comments on its proposal until February 1, 2008.
