Senator Craig Thomas Introduces
Snake Headwaters Legacy Act

Call today to thank him, and urge Senator Enzi and Rep. Cubin
to support S. 1281

Dear Supporter,

The Gros Ventre is one of 14 rivers and streams
that would be permanently protected under
Senator Craig Thomas' Snake Headwaters Legacy Act.
Read the latest news here.

As you have probably heard, US Senator Craig Thomas (R-Wyoming) introduced S. 1281, the Snake Headwaters Legacy Act, on May 3, and it had a very successful hearing before the US Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee this past Tuesday.

If passed into law, the Snake Headwaters Legacy Act will permanently protect over 400 miles of the most spectacular rivers in northwest Wyoming's Snake River watershed, including significant portions of the Snake, Buffalo Fork, Gros Ventre, and Hoback rivers. The last time Congress passed a wild and scenic river bill of this scale was nearly 20 years ago.

If you haven't already done so, please stop what you're doing and call Senator Thomas' office right now to thank him for introducing the Snake Headwaters Legacy Act. Senator Thomas deserve our thanks, and we owe it to him. While you're at it, it is important that you also call the offices of Senator Mike Enzi (R-Wyoming) and Representative Barbara Cubin (R-Wyoming) to ask them to support S. 1281. Having the entire Wyoming congressional delegation on board will significantly increase the chances that the Snake Headwaters Legacy Act will pass this year.

The phone numbers for Wyoming's Congressional delegation are as follows:

Senator Craig Thomas: (202) 224-6441
Senator Mike Enzi: (202) 224-3424
Rep. Barbara Cubin: (202) 225-2311

Thanks!
