Just last week IP3 supported aNational Day of Action in Portland, Oregon. Gallons of toxic algae collected from the river were delivered to the door of Buffet's Pacificorp office, resulting in a total shutdown of the front entrance forcing the company to close shop. Meanwhile, Native elders and youth resiliently chanted, "No amount of stalling can stop the damn from falling!"

"We are here to let PacifiCorp and Warren Buffett know that there will be no business as usual for PacifiCorp as long as there is no business as usual for Klamath River communities,"said Chook Chook Hillman of the Karuk Tribe and a member of the Klamath Justice Coalition.
Chook Chook has been there every step of the way in this peaceful and savvy campaign supported by the Trainers and Action Coordinators of IP3. Since Spring of this year, IP3 has provided numerous Action Camps throughout the Klamath watershed Subsequently, groups have pulled off many well-executed actions with IP3 support, including a high profile banner hang on the Orleans and a whole weekend of die-ins, banner-drops, and microphone takeovers at Buffet's Berkshire-Hathaway shareholders meeting in Omaha.

"If we love our culture, we better be ready to defend it. It is this understanding that calls us to act. As Native people that live with respect to the relationship of the Earth and our people, it is clear that we are going to have to defend our land and way of life...The beautiful thing about direct action is that there is a role for everyone, from elders to the youth, we all have the right and the duty to stand in defense of mother earth."
