| THIS JUST IN from SHARON AND MARTY |
"We are at Borsheim's Jewelry Store in Omaha, NE. It's a big jewelry retailer that Warren Buffet owns, where another Buffet company - Berkshire Hathaway - is holding it's shareholder's reception. We want Berkshire Hathaway to remove their dams from the Klamath River, because they're killing the whole salmon population in Northern California.
In an action initiated by the women of Klamath, a group of women, men and children of the Klamath nation have unfurled a banner in front of the Borsheim showroom, did a salmon and human die-in in front of the store, and are now engaging shareholders on why the dams need to be shut down. They are holding space with tons of media on them, and no sign of security interference!
More to come! Watch the news this weekend! :) Love from IP3!"
The Indigenous Peoples Power Project (IP3) is a program of the Ruckus Society, supporting the fight of Native communities for Environmental Justice, Human Rights, and Self Determination. The IP3 develops young, indigeous leaders to lead the fight in their communities -- if you ever wondered where Willie Maze is at most of the time, he's traveling across North America to lead trainings in Native communities.
