Indigenous Peoples' Power!

The Ruckus Society and the Indigenous Peoples' Power Project (IP3) have been busy in 2007. Director Marty Aranaydo has spent much of the new year working with community members in Burnham, New Mexico, site of the proposed Desert Rock coal burning power plant.

The PROPOSED development is a step in the wrong direction to stop climate change and directly threatens the way of life of Navajo (Dine) families who have been living on the land harmony for generations. Navajo families, led by Elders, BLOCKADED the road to the site and STOPPED production of a coal burning power plant. The elders and supporters continue to hold vigil at the sight despite the bitter cold and a short supply of resources. Your support is needed!

Support the Desert Rock resisters by writing an online letter saying that you oppose Desert Rock Power Plant.
