As January comes to a close, resolution experts recommend revisiting commitments made, and at Global Exchange that includes our travel resolutions. Share your travel resolutions with us!
Firstly, we want to suggest a resolution for you to take a trip to Oaxaca, Mexico and join us to celebrate the Day of the Dead for our special 25th anniversary Reality Tour.
Here are some travel resolutions from our office:
Kirsten Moller, Global Exchange Co-Founder and Director of Organizing: “My travel resolution is to break out of the familiar and travel to a place I’ve never seen and that is on the cusp of big change – Burma. Join me in April!”
Carleen Pickard, Executive Director: “My travel resolution is to plan another Reality Tour with my mom – we had such an incredible time with Global Exchange’s guide, Najib, on the International Women’s Day trip to Afghanistan in 2005.”
Alessandro Isola, Director of Reality Tours: “My Travel Resolution for 2013 is to visit the PUST University in Pyongyang, the first privately funded university in North Korea, and to travel for the first time to experience the rich Caribbean culture of Cuba.”
Shannon Biggs, Community Rights Program Director: “Two years ago over lunch, Vandana Shiva suggested I co-lead a Reality Tour to India, to explore the rights of nature in the context of India’s sacred seed saving work, Fair Trade cooperatives, and more. It's going to be one of those special adventures to recall often.”
Join us in 2013 to fulfill your travel resolutions.
