Deep Democracy Victories
No matter which side you butter your political bread, by now you’ve heard more than you ever wanted to about the election results and who won. But that’s just politics.
What you probably missed in the glare of the pundits flashy graphics and incessant Wednesday morning quarterbacking were the real victories by and for people actually asserting their rights on Election Day against the powers that be.
Find out how voters in Montana, Pennsylvania, and Ohio stood up against huge corporations and prevailed.
From Green Festival: Travel to India with Vandana Shiva!
This past weekend, I gave a presentation about Rights of Nature and Global Exchange’s Reality Tour to India November 1-11, 2013. Co-led by Shannon Biggs and Vandana Shiva, participants will have a unique opportunity to learn about rights of nature, seed sovereignty and spend a week with Vandana on her farm. Find out more.
Students Learn about Rights of Nature
Last week students from the Woolman Semester Program visited Global Exchange for a second time to learn about our current campaigns. Interested in bringing youth to learn about our work around community and nature’s rights? Contact us.
