We're already halfway through Fair Trade Month where we have partnered with Green Halloween and Equal Exchange to set up 31 ways to Fair Trade your Halloween this October.
So far you've helped donate tea bushes to farmers in India, hosted community screenings of Dark Side of Chocolate, taken the Go Bananas Challenge, and participated in a National Costume Swap Day, but there's still lots more to do!
In the remaining weeks, we encourage you to check out the film Delicious Peace Grows In A Ugandan Coffee Bean, learn how to make a Day of the Dead Altar, show off your pumpkin carving skills to win a copy of the book Fair Trade: A Human Journey and more!
For a full list, check our Fair Trade Your Halloween.
Along with all these fun activities, don't forget to order your Fair Trade chocolate to pass out to trick-or-treaters. The deadline to get your Equal Exchange chocolate minis in time for Halloween has been extended for one more day!
If you order the chocolates by end of day Wednesday October 17 they will arrive by Oct 30! Be sure to also download the Fair Trade informational Halloween cards to hand out along with the chocolates to your trick-or-treaters!
To shop locally, visit Global Exchange’s Fair Trade stores in San Francisco, Berkeley or DC to pick up these chocolates while supplies last.
Happy Fair Trade Month!
