Thank you so much for coming to Global Exchange’s Open House party!
The evening was a spectacular success, and I’m so glad you were able to join the celebration. We talked, we danced, we ate, we played games together, and we shared with the community we love so much. It was an amazing celebration, with music by Los Soneros de Acero, refreshments from our Mission District Sponsors (Cha, Cha, Cha, Rainbow Grocery Cooperative, Sunflower Restaurant, Sunrise Restaurant, and the Sandwich Place), Work of Art catering and Cline Cellars.
I encourage you to check out the pictures on our People-to-People blog.
It meant a lot to me that you were there to help us celebrate 23 years of building people-to-people ties both within the community and around the world. I’m also glad that you were able to take part in the transfer of leadership as we “passed the torch” to our new Executive Director, Carleen Pickard.
See video of this special occasion, including one of the best home-made torches ever made.
You may have heard me mention the Pass the Torch Fund at the Open House. If you couldn’t catch all the details, here’s the brief recap: we’re calling on supporters like you to provide a much-needed boost during this transition period, so that Carleen can begin her tenure as Executive Director at Global Exchange with a solid financial backing to support all of our important programs.
You can become a monthly sustainer for as little as $5, $10 or $50 a month, and provide a reliable source of income that allows Global Exchange to concentrate on meaningful campaigns.

Once again, thank you for coming to the Open House and showing your support for Global Exchange. After 23 years, I still have great enthusiasm for peace, justice, and sustainability. It’s inspiring to know that so many of you feel the same.
All my best,

Kirsten Moller
