Get Your Representative to Support Indigenous and Afro-Colombian Internally Displaced Persons

Right now, there is a resolution circulating in Congress, House Resolution 1224, introduced by Rep. Hank Johnson (D-GA), which if passed would allow our Congress to officially send a strong message to the Colombian government calling on it to fulfill its duties—as ruled by the Colombian Constitutional court—to protect threatened indigenous and Afro-Colombian communities and aid those who have been internally displaced.

With threats on the rise, the time could not be more crucial to pass this resolution, but it will need more than its current 37 co-sponsors to get through. Fill in your information below to send an email to your representative to get him/her to co-sponsor the resolution on today!
