THE HUB: What image opened YOUR eyes to human rights?

In honor of the 60th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights on Dec. 10, WITNESS staff and others have offered their thoughts on the human rights images that have inspired or moved them into action. From images of displaced people in Burma to violence in Darfur -- images have had a galvanizing affect on how we see and respond to events and issues around the globe. TAKE ACTION

Currently, 25,000 men are lured into slavery every year in rural Brazil by the hope of a good job. They put trust in the middlemen that hire them, but then find themselves in debt bondage.

Lend your voice to this campaign to pressure the Brazilian Congress to pass Amendment 438/2001 to dramatically reduce the use of slaves by landowners in the Amazon region.
