After being held in captivity without trial for almost seven years, on Monday February 23rd, Binyam Mohamed was released from Guatanamo Bay Detention Center. Binyam's lawyer in the UK writes: "I spent two hours today walking with Binyam, the first time he has gone more than 5 feet without shackles in 7 years." Later, Binyam watched "Outlawed," a WITNESS produced video, that features Binyam's story. This was the first time Binyam had watched the video.
