Speak up to protect Oregon’s waterways from toxic pollution
Oregon’s Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) is proposing rules that would reduce the amount of toxic pollution allowed in our rivers and lakes so that people will not get sick from eating fish contaminated by toxic chemicals. The rules will also make our water cleaner to swim in and drink.
The state needs to hear from people like you who care about clean water, because you can be sure that they will hear from industries that want to maintain the status quo.
Tell DEQ that you support this effort to ensure that every Oregonian will be free to swim, boat, and fish in our rivers—and to eat what they catch—without being exposed to dangerous toxics.
