It is urgent that every interested person, that means every person who eats, send the message below, with your own comments added, to alert federal and state decision makers about your concerns.

Farmers, Food and Freedom Under Attack... House Passes the ‘Food Fascism’ Bill, HR 2749

We Have Three Weeks to Persuade the Senate
During Its Recess to Vote to Protect Food, Farmers and Freedom!

NOTE: If you have already taken this Action Item, we encourage you, and every member of your family and circle of contacts to do so again since it has been amended to reflect the passage of HR 2749 on July 30, 2009 after two failed attempts on the previous days. If passed by the Senate, this bill will lead to the loss of clean, healthy food and independent farming in the US and the complete industrialization of the US food supply.

Now the question is, “What will the Senate do?”

We managed to get some protective exemptions into the bill for small farmers selling food directly to consumers or to restaurants, but these are weak and will not be enough to protect your food or our farmers. We need to rally people immediately to contact or visit their Senators at home during the August vacation break to demand accountable voting on this bill.

Dear Decision Maker

This message is being delivered to my United States Senators. I join the ad hoc alliance of health freedom advocates, consumer groups, and family farm, home and natural food producers, stating:

"We reject all forms of food dictatorship.

"We oppose all deceptive attempts to industrialize the food supply under the guise of "food safety." Current bills before Congress such as HR 2749, HR875, S425, HR759, etc., lack any producer protective language patterned after Fair Labor Standards Act, 29 USCsec 203(s)(2) and DSHEA protective language of the 2007 FDA act, Section 1011.

"They are unacceptable to the members of a free society and must be defeated.

"Government or corporate entities must not infringe on a citizen's land, their right to own, produce, sell, or use food, seeds or healing substances ... , nor should any threat of war, emergency, or disease be used to abrogate or limit these rights."

I ask my representatives to act accordingly. DEFEAT THE FAKE (sic) 'FOOD SAFETY' BILLS! I oppose adoption of HR 2749, the bill adopted by the House of Representatives on July 30, 2009.
