This Action Item was started for the ad hoc New Jersey Save Our Nutritionists group, but we've expanded it to include health & food freedom & justice advocates elsewhere, as it now appears there is a nation-wide effort to impose dietician monopoly laws, similar to S.809 (2012) - formerly: S809, A1987 & A2933 and S1941, the so-called Dietitians and Nutritionists Licensing Act, or similar acts in other states.

This Action Item is now set to send messages to your individual State representatives and Governor, so you can "educate decision makers" about this important matter, as an expressive association communication.

Mission Statement

We, as others, choose to follow a natural nutritional way of life to promote our well-being. We expect to have the right to choose to follow a natural nutritional way of life to promote our well-being and to share nutritional information with those of similar interests, with proven information dating back centuries.

Today, Nutritionists are a respected profession, title, discipline and trade group entity, unconnected to any other regulating or unregulated disciplines, such as the profession of Dietitian. There are separate accredited schools of thought in practice and principles of nutrition; they therefore can not and should not be lumped together under one or the other professions restrictions or guidelines.

Nutritionists believe in Hippocrates 'First do no harm' philosophy and do not seek to diagnose, prevent, treat, mitigate or cure any disease or medical condition.

We agree with the US Supreme Court (in Thompson v Western States Medical) "We have previously rejected the notion that the Government has an interest in preventing the dissemination of truthful commercial information in order to prevent members of the public from making (even) bad decisions..." with the information or lack of information provided.

The express purpose of the Save Our Nutritionists Coalition is to preserve our Constitutional Rights to Free Speech and Free Association and to be allowed to exercise those rights as free citizens of the United States of America. In various States we have therefore come together to oppose or amend any proposed Dietitians and Nutritionists Licensing Act.

We say "NO!" to dieticians' monopolies!
