Support State Food Freedom and Safety Laws; Oppose Ex Order #13575

The Ninth and Tenth Amendments to the Constitution
preserve for the States and the People the rights and powers not explicitly granted to the central authorities.

The 2010 "FDA Food Safety [sic] Modernization Act [the Food Control Law] threatens our local food supply with forced industrialization in the interests of the biggest of Big Ag Biz. Article I, Section 8 does not grant any power to Congress to control agriculture.

The health and food freedom movement, working with family farmers, ranchers and gardeners, as well as liberty groups and teapartiers fought the Food Control Law and held it off for several years; the final bill that was forced through the lame-duck Congress was less vicious than the bill the "Bigs" wanted, due to our PUSH BACK. While we continue to oppose funding this bad law (you can tell Congress not to fund the law here: http://tinyURL.com/nofoodcontrol) we also want our State legislators to intervene to resassert State sovereignty by adopting the:

 Obama to WORLD: EO13575 = Ultimate Weaponization of Food

On June 9th the current White House occupant signed Executive Order #13575 to create what are called "Rural Councils" -- the Czars are coming to the farms and the current Administration continues with its program of seizing control of the "commanding heights" of the American economy.      Executive Order #13575 creates a White House Rural Council. The new council consists of 25 Cabinet Secretaries, chaired by the Secretary of Agriculture. The mission of the Council is to:
    “…work across executive departments, agencies, and offices to coordinate development of policy recommendations to promote economic prosperity and quality of life in rural America, and shall coordinate my Administration’s engagement with rural communities…”

The order also provides that the Rural Council will “coordinate and increase the effectiveness of Federal engagement with rural stakeholders, including agricultural organizations, small businesses, education and training institutions, healthcare providers, telecommunications service providers, research and land grant institutions, law enforcement, State, local, and tribal governments, and non-governmental organizations regarding the needs or rural America.”

    Please note the glaring ommissions from the list: FARMERS and CONSUMERS.  The order concludes: "This order is not intended to, and does not, create any right or benefit, substantive or procedural, enforceable at law or in equity by any party against the United States, its departments, agencies, or entities, its officers, employees, or agents, or any other person."
