At the end of 2011, Congress passed, and President Obama signed into law, the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA). This bill authorizes some of the most dangerous powers our government has ever asserted: it would allow the government to imprison anyone suspected of a "belligerent act” indefinitely and without trial—even US citizens.
Working with grassroots allies across the country, the Bill of Rights Defense Committee has been organizing resistance to the NDAA for months. The NDAA may be law, but it's never too late to raise your voice and restore our constitutional rights.
