Dear WABA Members & Supporters,
 |
|
Join us for Climate Ride NYC-DC
May 19-23, 2012
|
I would like to let you know about a great opportunity to support WABA and also have the experience of a lifetime. WABA is now a beneficiary of Climate Ride, a wonderful five-day, fully supported bicycle ride from New York City to Washington, DC taking place May 19-23, 2012.
It's an amazing journey and "green conference on wheels" where people who care about sustainability, renewable energy and bike advocacy pedal this iconic East Coast route together to make a difference. What is even better is that you can enjoy this incredible event while at the same time supporting WABA with your fundraising dollars. If you select us as your beneficiary when you register, WABA will be the recipient of the funds you raise, which means you will be directly advancing WABA's mission with your participation in Climate Ride.
I’d like to encourage you to find out more about Climate Ride by visiting www.climateride.org. You can register for $75 (which includes a great jersey, road support, and more), and then you raise at least $2400 to participate in this all-inclusive 5-day bicycle tour. The ride is fully-supported by a team of talented leader-hosts, bike mechanics, medics, and massage therapists. Climate Ride is also one of the 'greenest' multi-day charity ride events in the world.
Free Bike Jersey & Training Rides!
In appreciation of your participation, WABA will provide a free cycling jersey for all members riding on Team WABA for the 2012 NYC-DC Climate Ride!
To help Team WABA members prepare for the 300 mile journey from NYC to DC, WABA will organize regular informal training rides lead by staff members. The rides are a fun way to get in shape for Climate Ride and bond with your fellow teammates.
