The President has said that bringing peace to the Middle East was a priority of his administration, yet neither his Peace Envoy George Mitchell nor his Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has been to Gaza.
Now that Obama is traveling to Egypt on June 4, let's ask him to take a side trip to Gaza so that he can witness the devastation firsthand and listen to the voices of the local people.

If anyone needs change, it's the people of Gaza. Literally and figuratively. Even your former opponent, Senator McCain, promised the people of Gaza that we would recognize their government after a fair and democratic election. Punishing victims of Israel politics because we didn't like the outcome is democratic?
Two numbers, Mr. President. Two numbers are all you need to know. The number of Gaza civilians killed in the War on Gaza (1/3rd of whom were children) and the number of Israeli soldiers killed. You tell me, Mr. President, if these numbers had been reversed, would your stance be the same?

Please don't ignore Gaza. Visit, see the deprivation. Stand up and don't allow anymore time to pass before the US does something. I want to feel proud of my country and show those in GAZA that they are cared about and the new US president cares.

At root of terrorism is the injustice in Israel/Palestine. We need justice for Palestine if Israel is ever to know peace and safety. The people of Gaza, according to a Catholic missionary, live in abject povery in the world largest consentration camp. They do not have food, water, jobs or security. The war on Gaza by Israel was the crime of the century, and the US did nothing. It is time to demand justice and peace and equality for Israelis and Palestinians.

Gentleman, you know that what Israel is doing in the occupied Palestinian territories is wrong. And you know you have the power to stop it. And you know that history will not absolve you if you don’t stop Israel’s atrocities.

I think that to fully understand the conflict occurring between Zionists and Palestinians, you have to look at the people of Palestine suffering and make your final decision. I encourage you both to experience Gaza! Thank you.

The kids growing up there deserve peace. Think of your girls and then think what can you do to help the ones living in Gaza.
