Support the Rule of Law in Pakistan

Sign Our Petition Below!

The death of Benazir Bhutto points to the utter failure of the Musharraf regime to either fight extremism or build a society that respects the rule of law. We call on the U.S. government and all other governments to withhold assistance to the government of Pakistan until Pervez Musharraf steps down and a caretaker government restores the independent judiciary, lifts restrictions on the press and sets up the conditions for free and fair elections.

We stand beside the Pakistani lawyers, human rights advocates, journalists, labor leaders and other members of civil society who are struggling to restore the rule of law and build a truly democratic Pakistan.

7806 December 19, 2008 Benzair Bhutto attleboro, MA, US Bhutto assassination was regrettable but with out U.S support and without Musharraf's rule Pakistan will be overrun with by Muslim extremists. The political environment in Pakistan can not support a completely democratic government and the collapse of a government in control of nuclear weapons would comprise the security of the region and of the free world. So before you try to assert your idealistic nonsense on the ignorant try to look at the consequences of your actions.
