US Attorney General Eric Holder says his Justice Department is now going after WikiLeaks' Julian Assange. On what legal grounds? Truth is, no one's really sure yet. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has called WikiLeaks' release of thousands of diplomatic cables and other classified documents "an attack on America" and has accused WikiLeaks of sabotage. But US Secretary of Defense Robert Gates contradicted Clinton's remarks saying, "I've heard the impact of these releases on our foreign policy described as a meltdown, as a game-changer and so on. ...Is this embarrassing? Yes. Is it awkward? Yes. Consequences for U.S. foreign policy? I think fairly modest." Let's get one thing straight: WikiLeaks is a journalistic organization that deserves protection, not prosecution. Let's tell Attorney General Eric Holder to go after the real criminals, war criminals. His attempts to prosecute WikiLeaks will only amount to shooting the messenger.
