Pennsylvania Political Leaders Fellowship Application:

Part One - General Information

The Pennsylvania Political Leaders Fellowship is a part-time, 9-month progressive political leadership development program for promising future candidates, political operatives and organizational leaders. During the program, each Fellow attends a series of political leadership development workshops that will provide them with the tools, network, resources and knowledge to become an effective political leader. CPL Fellows also receive on-going coaching, mentorship and networking opportunities to support their launch into local or state-wide political prominence.

In order to be considered for the program, you will need to complete the Fellowship Application, which consists of three parts:

Completed applications are due no later than September 28, 2007..

Beginning in mid-November, we will notify qualified applicants of their acceptance into the program. We may also set up a brief interview by phone or in person to discuss an applicant's goals for the political leadership program. Interviews and all application decisions will be made prior to November 30.

Once you are accepted, we will provide you with a link to pay the $750 training fee online or by check. Full payment and deposit must be received within ten (10) days of acceptance. CPL is able to offer this fee for our program, which actually costs $5000 per fellow, due to generous donations from progressive donors who support the work of CPL and our political leadership programs. Please note that the Center for Progressive Leadership is dedicated to ensuring that economic considerations are not a barrier for highly qualified emerging progressive leaders to participate in the Fellowship. Installment plans are available, and we have a small number of scholarships available to defray a significant portion of the $750 program fee. After acceptance into the Fellowship, applicants with financial need may apply separately for a partial scholarship and will be given specific instructions on how to do so.
