Support Hampshire College's Divesting from Occupation

On Feb 7, 2009, Hampshire College became the first in the United States to divest from companies based on their activities in the Occupied Palestinian Territories. The decision followed a proposal by Students for Justice in Palestine on May 8, 2008, requesting divestment, to the Committee at Hampshire on Investment Responsibility (CHOIR), a subcommittee of the Board of Trustees' investment committee. The proposal was accompanied by a petition signed by over half the student body at Hampshire College.

Please send a letter of support to Hampshire President Ralph Hexter congratulating Hampshire for divesting from occupation and asking him to condemn the call by Alan Dershowitz to boycott the college.

(Your letters will be collected by the Students for Justice in Palestine. They will deliver them in person to College President Hexter.)
