Will you act today for REAL Farm Bill Reform in the Senate?

The U.S. House of Representatives struck a major blow against progressive Farm Bill reform when they passed a bill that actually increases subsidies for many large farms and continues the practice of million-dollar checks. We must demand that the Senate do better.

Large, aggressively expanding farms use their government payments to drive family farmers out of business, but now we have an historic opportunity to pass legislation that will close the loopholes mega-farms use to receive unlimited farm program payments.

Closing the loopholes and limiting payments will help revitalize family farming and rural communities currently buckling under the pressure of mega-farm expansion.

Unlimited payments divert scarce resources that could be better spent investing in the future of family farming and ranching, and rural communities.
