1) It's a great cause. I think Colorado needs to do a much better job of investing wisely and adequately in our kids and schools, and Great Ed is doing something about it. Every donation takes Colorado one step closer to better public schools, colleges, and universities for future generations.
2) It's a great time. Last year's event was attended by over 300 other public education supporters. It will be a blast and there really is something for everyone -- a bouncy castle, live music, silent auction (including $1500 in Chipotle gift certificates), great food (Noodles and Co., Kona Grill, California Pizza Kitchen and others), beer (Del Norte Brewing Company), and yes, tennis, for all ages and abilities (kids' prize courts, the court of public opinion, and much more).
If you are not able to attend, I would be grateful for any support you can and want to give to Great Education Colorado. To learn more about what Great Ed does, go here: greateducation.org.
Hope you'll join me at the Open -- and that you'll help me reach my goal of $1,000!
