After unprecedented advocacy and leadership from the House, Senate, and the Governor, last year the legislature increased the Housing Trust Fund to $200 million. This year, that gain is at risk. The Governor's budget cuts the Trust Fund by half, to just $100 million. This is the wrong time to slash funds for low-income housing. In addition to meeting a huge and growing need, developing housing creates jobs and stimulates the economy. Isn't that how we should be spending our limited state resources? Let your legislators and House and Senate leadership know that the Housing Trust Fund must be maintained at $200 million.
