The last 4 weeks in our separate villages have been quite a fun challenge for the three team leaders in Manyeleti, South Africa. We've had the interns very busy getting to know the villages better and setting up projects and fellowships for next year. Now it is the team leaders turn to set up a small project of our own. Last year as an intern I, Michael Oyler, set up a rainwater collection system at a community center in the village of Makrepeni. This year we want to create another collection system in Uta for their primary school.

The rainwater collection system will provide water to cook lunches for all the students who attend Shiviti and also will be used to water the school's agricultural project. We just need your help through fundraising to buy supplies. The biggest cost of the whole system generally would be providing a holding tank. Fortunately at Shiviti we can use an existing tank to collect this rainwater. Matt Scharf, Stephen Billy and I will be working on this project over the next two weeks and plan to have it finished before August 1st. So if you can help out please do. Any size donation is appreciated.
