Global Development Internship

The Global Development Internship (GDI) provides college students the opportunity to gain on-the-ground development experience and leadership training to develop sustainable business models for development projects in rural villages in Africa.

Interns conduct capacity inventories, coordinate evaluation of past projects and mobilize local community members to lay the foundation for health and education initiatives. Think Impact has implemented the GDI in Manyeleti, South Africa and Kayafungo, Kenya since 2007 with great success. Read about young leaders' experience with Think Impact.

Students are invited to apply by either early selection (which tends to be less selective) or by regular selection.  Expected tuition for 2010 will be $5000 to $5500 including airfare.  Request more information by clicking here.

In June of 2010 Think Impact will bring students to Manyeleti, South Africa and to Kayafungo, Kenya to live with local families and learn first-hand about the challenges of rural poverty.
