MSNBC, stop using an anti-gay hate group to represent Christians
The Family Research Council is so extreme that they've been officially listed as a hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center, in part because they've repeatedly accused gays and lesbians of child molestation.
But MSNBC continues to invite their president, Tony Perkins to speak on behalf of Christian voters. In fact, since FRC was designated a hate group in November 2010, Tony Perkins has appeared on MSNBC more often than any other network.
When we tried to buy airtime on MSNBC for this ad exposing Tony Perkins' record of spreading hateful lies about gays and lesbians, they rejected it "based on its appropriateness." Apparently MSNBC considers it appropriate to invite to a hate-group leader on its shows to speak for Christians, but not appropriate for its viewers to learn what he really stands for.
Sign the petition to MSNBC:
The Family Research Council is a hate group, and journalists ought to treat it as such. MSNBC must stop inviting Family Research Council spokespeople on the air to represent the views of Christians and other people of faith.

Why does MSNBC insist on embarrassing Christians this way? What would have stopped the network from representing Hitler's German Christian church by repeatedly interviewing Landesbischof Ludwig Müller More....as a representative of all German Christians?

You folks need to examine just "who" you assume is a Christian--certainly not Tony Perkins. He works for a hate group with an innocuous name, that's all.

Well I heard that NBC is owned by Comcast. Doesn't it figure that the Southern Poverty Law Center is often used as a resource by the news reporters such as Rachel Maddow and the others? All great shows. More.... How come Comcast is now the right-wing owner when it is more left-wing? I suppose they'll buy up all the search engines so we'll get nothing but hate propaganda. Next, they'll marry in Faux News and Nazi Rush Limbaugh. This country has too many psychiatric problems. You don't think this will happen? We don't see it but it already has and very quietly. Get an ISP from another country? Hmmm....Ahhh...conspiracy theories and nuts like Perkins, Limbaugh, Bachmann, and all the rest of the homeborn terrorists in one form or another. Chris Matthews, admit it: we get older and maybe a little forgetful? Or are you just soft in the head on this Hardball? I'm not impressed.
