Action List / News Stream International Rivers' urgent action center and e-newsletter. Action Alerts gather people around the world to build a network of e-activists who care about healthy rivers and human rights to influence decision-makers to do the right thing.
Amazonia Information on threats to the rivers of the Amazon, particularly Brazil, including the network of 70 large dams being planned. Expect 2-3 messages per week.
Africa Information on energy and water resource management in Africa. These e-mails will often focus on issues related to specific dam projects, such as the Lesotho Highlands Water Project and the Bujagali Falls Dam in Uganda. Expect 3-4 e-mails per week.
Bay Area Events Information on International Rivers' events in the San Francisco Bay Area as well as other local activities focused on water and resource issues. Expect 1-2 e-mails per month.
China Information on energy and water resource management in China.The updates from this list will include relevant news digests, press advisories and project background information. Expect 1-2 e-mails per week. China's Global Role Provides information on China's involvement in dam building overseas, the role of the China Export-Import Bank and other Chinese financial institutions, and China's global environmental footprint more generally. Expect 3-5 emails per week. Dam Decommissioning Sign up to receive our River Revival Bulletin, an electronic news bulletin published monthly on dam decommissioning efforts both in the US and internationally. Dams & Alternatives Information on issues of global significance relating to dams and alternatives to dams. Emails will include relevant articles, press releases, and action alerts. Expect 5-8 e-mails per week. Day of Action Receive announcements and updates about the annual March 14th International Day of Action for Rivers. This list generates approximately one message per week from December through March, with occasional additional messages throughout the year. International Financial Institutions This list provides information about the role of international financial institutions in promoting large dams. Expect 2-3 e-mails per week.
Mekong International Rivers' Mekong list provides news and action alerts on the fight to stop dams on the Mekong River and its tributaries. Expect 2-3 e-mails per week. Rivers of Patagonia Information on the campaign to keep Patagonia's pristine rivers dam-free. Expect 3-4 e-mails per week. South Asia Information about dam building and popular resistance against dams in South Asian countries. Expect 5-8 e-mails per week.
