Help Stop the Fluoridation of New York City

On Wednesday, January 18, Councilor Peter Vallone’s bill to end fluoridation in NYC will be officially introduced in the New York City Council.  If this bill passes it could set the stage towards ending fluoridation in the US and other fluoridating countries.  However, once introduced the bill must have the support of the Speaker of the city council or it may never even have a public hearing!  We need everyone’s help to win Speaker Quinn's support for this bill, but especially from residents of NYC.

If you are a resident of NYC take several minutes to complete and customize this letter to Speaker Quinn. The bill is expected to be introduced tomorrow, so please send your message as soon as possible.

Put the following details into the opening of the message: "I am a resident of NYC and live in x district, y borough". Click here to find your district if you don't already know it: http://council.nyc.gov/html/members/members.shtml

The title of the message is “I am a NYC resident; please stop fluoridation.” But if you are a doctor, dentist, nurse, pharmacist, hold a PhD or other professional qualification put that in the title, e.g. "I am a doctor (etc); please stop fluoridation.”  Add in any professional qualifications you may have to support your opposition to fluoridation or the personal reasons you have for wanting fluoride out of the water.

Important: to increase the chance that the email will be read, please take a few extra minutes to customize the message and title in your own unique way.
