Nahanni Protected Forever!

On June 9, 2009 Environment Minister Jim Prentice announced the final boundaries for a massively expanded Nahanni National Park Reserve. The park will grow to six times its current size and permanently protect over 30,000 sq km of world-famous Boreal wilderness. This is an area the size of Vancouver Island…protected forever!

CPAWS applauds the federal government for this historic conservation achievement.

Thanking the government for this decision is a great way to encourage more protection for Canada’s big wild places.

To thank the Prime Minister, please send a letter now. Personalizing your letter will make it even more powerful.

If you can take a few minutes to phone his office, that will count even more. His number is 613 992 4211.
