Protect caribou in Ontario

The Ontario government released its final version of its Caribou Conservation Plan in Fall 2009. Although it is a step forward from the previous plan, it does not do enough to protect the threatened woodland caribou. In fact, the plan continues to allow logging in their habitat.

Science shows that caribou are running out of space in Ontario. Please let MNR Minister Linda Jeffrey know that protecting the remaining intact habitat of caribou (south of 51st parallel) is a priority for you, and it must be a priority for her government too.
