South Saskatchewan Regional Plan (SSRP) Public Consultations
The South Saskatchewan Region (SSR), located in southern Alberta, is incredibly diverse. Its landscapes include grassland, parkland, foothills, and Rocky Mountains. The Alberta government's Land-Use Framework (LUF) identifies the South Saskatchewan Region (the southern third of Alberta), as a priority area requiring immediate action.
In the spring of 2011, the Regional Advisory Council (RAC) submitted its advice to Cabinet (5 Mb PDF) for the SSRP. The next step is for the Government of Alberta to develop a draft regional plan for the South Saskatchewan Region. This will be informed by the RAC's advice, cross-ministry knowledge, and the views of residents, businesses, communities, and other governments that have a stake in the region and its future.
Your input on these recommendations is essential. Get involved and have your say in the future of Alberta!
Use the form below to give YOUR feedback on the SSRP. Your comments will be sent to Minister Diana McQueen and the Land Use Secretariat and will be considered as part of the overall consultation process.
