Beartooth Highway, an All-American Road often called "America's most beautiful drive," winds through Montana and Wyoming.

House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee Chair John Mica (R-Fla.) has released his proposed 5-year surface transportation legislation, and we are very distraught to learn that the National Scenic Byways Program would be completely eliminated under his bill.

By all measures, the National Scenic Byways Program has been a success, and abolishing it would be devastating to the 150 distinct and diverse roads already designated by the U.S. Secretary of Transportation as National Scenic Byways and All-American Roads.
