Help Create a Peaceful Future for Northern Uganda

On July 1st, 2008, the Ugandan Government officially launched its plan for rebuilding northern Uganda after more than two decades of war. The Peace, Recovery and Development Plan (PRDP) is a $600 million initiative aimed at helping war-affected communities return home, rebuild their lives through economic development and reconcile their broken communities.

It's an ambitious plan and a hopeful sign that the apathy and neglect that has plagued northern Uganda for the past 23 years might be a thing of the past.

That's where you come in.

If the PRDP is going to live up to its lofty goals, it's going to require a surge of funding and political will from international leaders dedicated to its implementation.

Ensuring our leaders invest in a peaceful future for northern Uganda is the best thing we can do as ordinary citizens to help contribute to a better future for the children of northern Uganda.
