Tell New Haven to Think Outside the Bottle!
City governments are spending millions of taxpayer dollars each year to buy bottled water. Be it water coolers by the copier, or plastic bottles at city events, our elected leaders are choosing the bottle over the tap. New Haven is contributing to this trend by buying over $30,000 worth of bottled water. Worst of all, it’s sourced from Worcester, Massachusetts’s tap water.
Over the past three years, more than 1,000 mayors have resolved to end city spending on bottled water. Now it is time for New Haven to do the same.
