Scenic Hudson | Your Valley. Your Voice. Your Future.

Dear Scenic Hudson Member,

We'd like you to know about a special event coming up in your neighborhood.

On Wednesday morning, Aug. 5, at 11 a.m., Scenic Hudson and a number of prominent public officials are taking part in a ceremony to mark the beginning of Scenic Hudson's work to create a new park in the Town of Stockport, just north of the City of Hudson. Harrier Hill Park features some of the most dramatic views of the Hudson River and Catskill Mountains anywhere in the region. When finished, the 6.5-acre park will feature a universally-accessible trail and an open-sided pavilion for picnicking and community-group activities along with an informational kiosk about the ecology and history of the property. We're very excited about this project and we are looking forward to sharing this beautiful spot with people throughout Columbia and Greene counties.

We're encouraging Scenic Hudson members like you to join us for the ceremony. I'll be joined by U.S. Rep. Scott Murphy, NYS Assemblyman Marc Molinaro, Town of Stockport Supervisor Lou Pulcher, Hudson-Fulton-Champlain Quadricentennial Executive Director Tara Sullivan and a representative from New York's Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation.

I hope to see you there next Wednesday at 11 a.m. More information about the property -- including directions -- are available at scenichudson.org.

Sincerely,

Ned Sullivan Signature
