Pitch in for Parks: Mount Beacon

Join us as we undertake some serious—and possibly strenuous— work on Mount Beacon’s White Trail, restoring several sections that have washed away. If you feel like getting dirty while learning about trail maintenance, meet us in the Mount Beacon Parking lot and we’ll carpool over to Pocket Road to begin our hike.

Wear clothes you won’t mind getting dirty, including long pants, sturdy closed-toe shoes and a hat. (An evening “tick check” also will help prevent tick bites and Lyme disease.) Also bring gloves if you have them and sunscreen, water, a snack and bug spray. Participants under age 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
