This week, the House and Senate Agricultural Committees are sending their recommendations to the Joint Select Committee on Deficit Reduction. Their recommendations will determine the direction of the 2012 Farm Bill. We know the country must make difficult choices, but conservation of our Hudson Valley Farms is critical to the health and future prosperity of our region and Washington has already cut conservation programs disproportionately and unfairly compared to other areas of the budget.
