2007 Great Lakes Awards Celebration

It takes courage and leadership to take on the powerful special interests in the giant, high-stakes battle over protecting Michigan's Great Lakes waters. Fortunately for Michigan's water-loving residents, Native American Tribal Chairman Frank Ettawageshik, activist Terry Swier and Ingham County Drain Commissioner Pat Lindemann have measured up.

For their leadership on protecting Great Lakes water resources, Chairman Ettawageshik of the Little Traverse Bay Band of Odawa Indians, Ms Swier, President, Michigan Citizens for Water Conservation and Commissioner Lindemann will be honored at Clean Water Action's celebration on October 10 in East Lansing. It will be held from 5:30pm to 7:30 pm at downtown East Lansing's Scene Metrospace, 110 Charles Street.

Please consider making a minimum suggested gift of $60 in support of the 2007 Great Lakes Awards Celebration.

Or you can support Clean Water Action work and honor our award winners by becoming a special Leadership Sponsor with a gift of $250 or more. We will acknowledge all of our Sponsors at the awards celebration and in our communications in support of the event. Moreover, you will be enrolled in Clean Water Acton's Great Lakes Stewards Club.

Your sponsorship gift will support Clean Water Action's work throughout the year to protect Michigan's water resources and in holding government officials accountable for their actions affecting the environment.

If you are already a Great Lakes Stewards Club member, I hope you have valued our briefings by insider experts and our special Inside bulletin keeping you up to date on hot environmental topics.
