Address Safety Issues at Oyster Creek Now!

Contact NJDEP Commissioner Bob Martin, Chair of the Oyster Creek Safety Advisory Panel. Urge him to do all he can to ensure the following safety issues are addressed at Oyster Creek now:

  • The evacuation plan including new public hearings is updated to reflect the new reality post-Sandy including evacuation shelters, blocked roads, and displaced emergency responders;
  • The plan for flood defense purposes is updated, includes a public process, and reflects the new normal of climate change, sea level rise, changing dunes and bay hydrodynamics, increasing frequency and severity of extreme weather and additional flood protection; and
  • The “indications” are investigated and the public assured through release of additional data and analysis they pose no additional risk of a nuclear catastrophe.
