Dear Friend,
You are invited to join us on Saturday, July 7 for a special community forum to talk about the proposed ban on medical cannabis in Los Angeles, what you can do to stop it, and what a better policy might look like. Americans for Safe Access (ASA) and the Greater Los Angeles Collective Alliance (GLACA) are co-hosting this forum to be sure the voices of patients, providers, and other stakeholders are part of the conversation about what comes next for medical cannabis in the city.
What: LA Stakeholders Forum on Medical Cannabis
When: 1-3 PM * Saturday, July 7
Where: Community Room (#152), West Hollywood Gateway Mall, 7100 Santa Monica Blvd., West Hollywood, CA 90046.
Info: don@safeaccessnow.org * Don Duncan at (323) 882-6033
There is an inexpensive paid parking garage at the mall. Enter by Beverages & More through the parking garage, or through the double glass doors between Jersey Mike’s and Rockin’ Sushi on Santa Monica Blvd.
Community participation is crucial to stopping the ban on medical cannabis, which may be adopted as soon as July 24. We also need your input into what a workable medical cannabis ordinance will look like after we stop the ban. You can still participate in this conversation, even if you cannot make it to West Hollywood on July 7. Visit ASA’s Discussion Forum to share ideas and be a part of the conversation in advance.
Thank you for helping protect safe access in Los Angeles! See you on Saturday, July 7.
Sincerely,
Don Duncan
California Director
