Sheriff's Department returns seized pot to dispensary
In response to a court order, the Sacramento County Sheriff's Department Friday afternoon returned 2 pounds of medicinal marijuana to a dispensary from which it was seized earlier this month.

Democratic congressman and San Diego mayoral candidate Bob Filner was the featured speaker at a medical marijuana rally and march that took place in Ocean Beach on Monday, December 26.

Feds Force Another San Francisco Pot Club to Close
Pressure from the Justice Department is forcing a fourth San Francisco medical marijuana dispensary to close early next year, with a fifth closure expected soon thereafter.

Attorney general issues letter to lawmakers on medical marijuana
Just a week after Assemblyman Tom Ammiano met with the U.S. attorney's office to discuss federal raids on California's medical marijuana dispensaries and growers, California's attorney general has issued a letter to the state's top lawmakers warning that attempts to pass statewide regulation of marijuana must not impede upon the will of the people or further provoke the wrath of the federal government.
