Stop logging on the doorstep of Crater Lake
“The legal status of the 2001 Roadless Area Conservation Rule (RACR) continues to be unstable.”
That’s a direct quote from the Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS) for the DBug timber sale. Despite the Obama adminsitrations support for strong roadless protections, The Forest Service is using legal uncertainty surrounding the Roadless Rule to push forward with unpopular logging and road building in pristine areas in our public forests.
Use the form below to let the Forest Service know that—in Oregon—the Roadless Rule should still rule!
It's most important that you take action, but messages have added weight if you personalize them --tell the forest service why you don't want to see hiking trails on the doorstep of Crater Lake turned into logging roads at taxpayer expense!
Thanks for helping to protect our roadless backcountry heritage.
