Tell Governor Kulongoski to stand up for old growth

Oregon’s forests are in trouble. The Bush administration has released a final version of its WOPR logging plan that would ignore science, defy the will of the public, and attempt to chop down some of the last of our old-growth forests.

But Oregon Governor Ted Kulongoski can stop this plan dead in its tracks. The federal government has to check with the state of Oregon to make sure their plan passes legal muster. We need to show Governor Kulongoski that the public is behind him if he makes the right call and pulls the plug on this plan.

Send Governor Kulongoski a letter today urging him to do the right thing for Oregon’s old growth. We have provided some sample text, but personal words will have a greater impact.

Submit your letter below. (Note: Governor Kulongoski requires a 1,000 character limit.)
