Demand Louisiana Keep its Promise to Halt Sea Turtle Deaths in Shrimp Nets

Thank you to the thousands of people who sent messages to Louisiana's governor. while the window is closed for legislation to reverse the TEDs ban for this year, we will continue to press for sea turtle protection in Louisiana and across the Gulf and U.S. waters.

Louisiana's Governor Bobby Jindal is responsible for allowing the drowning of thousands of sea turtles in shrimp trawl nets. He had a chance to repeal the state law banning enforcement of Turtle Excluder Devices but vetoed the bill that would have resulted in a more sustainable future for shrimp trawling.
